Community Involvement

Wherever we operate, Saber is an integral part of larger social and economic systems or communities that support our customers and employees. Our commitment to corporate citizenship is growing.

Over the last 10 years, Saber has focused philanthropic activities to enhance relationships with customers, employees, and the communities where we live, work, learn and play. This policy of encouraging volunteer services and monetary investments has benefited these communities on whom Saber’s own success depends.

And, in response to major disasters, those communities can be far reaching. For example, in 2005, Saber matched employees’ donations 2 to 1, sending $8,000 in assistance to employees of our junior partner Delta Computer Systems of Mississippi and to Habitat for Humanity’s Hurricane Relief Fund. And later in 2005, to assist with Pakistan earthquake relief, Saber again matched employees’ contributions 2 to 1, sending some $15,000 to purchase 20 winterized tents to earthquake victims.

As individuals, Saber employees across the board support diverse, non-profit and charitable organizations serving our immediate communities, from serving on local boards such as the Urban League and Diogenes Youth Services to coaching youth athletic teams.

Community involvement is an essential component of our corporate vision for success as a company of people committed to excellence in our profession, relationships, and quality of life.
